Every time we go on vacation, we either grab a cab, rent a car or take a shuttle to our hotel. We were in town for a little bit of rest and relaxation (not for Disney!) for Mommy's birthday so I decided to try to find a special pick up for our family. Through my business travels, I am accustomed to being picked up by a towncar at the airport but neither my husband not my daughter had taken anything other than cabs or shuttles. I thought it would be a fun way to start and end our vacation- in style. In looking for a car, I started a Google search for "airport transportation" and found Taxido. Coincidentally, their company had reviews on Tripadvisor (I forgot that Tripadvisor is not just for hotel reviews) and all of the reviews were very good. I decided to obtain a quote- honestly thinking that the fancy Mercedes van would be completely out of my price range. I was wrong. Now don't get me wrong- remember this is a clean, upgraded, (for us) private Mercedes- not a shuttle bus or cab. You get what you pay for and I feel the rates charged are super fair compared to the quality of the vehicle and customer service of the drivers. From my quote to our departure, every employee of Taxido was courteous, professional and friendly. Even my nine year old commented on how our two Taxido drivers (Jose and Dennis) were her favorite drivers during our stay there. The vehicles were AMAZING. Clean, upgraded and custom Mercedes Sprinter vans (but more like a mini bus). The seats were comfortable and we felt like VIPs! What a great way to start and end our trip to Orlando!
